The map, above, is an interactive map that is the final product of the geology section. It intends to educate the public on variations of sediment across Sandy Hook, and how this will influence the different plants that can grow there.
The map is interactive to keep both children and adults interested in the information that the map contains. Each site shows an image of the sample, a brief description of it, and images of the surrounding area and the process of collecting it. The data the map contains came from four different transects that the Sandy Hook Herbarium Geologist created. The transects were created to reach every beach zone and show the variations in sediment between each area.
